Girls Talk - Nothing Makes Me Cry


Finally! At Girls Talk today, we talk about songs that make us cry. I do not admit it very often but this is my favourite type of music. Songs so powerfully sung and beautifully written that they can draw the feelings right out of you.

Short of actually saying that I love crying, I do enjoy songs that sing about unrequited love and hardship in life. I know, I know, I am a little dark and sombre when it comes to this (sucker for punishment maybe? Or is my life trying to tell me something?!) but I just feel very emotional when the lyrics just hit the right key and touches a chord in my heart.

The most recent song that has done this to me is The Script's "Nothing". At the moment, it is the hottest tune here in South Africa and so literally, everyday I hear this song on the airwaves....and everyday as well, I get choked up. His words sting and his voice laments with such clarity that my heart breaks as I sing along next to him. See what I mean about not returning my love?

"I wanted words but all I heard was nothing..."

    Although it wasn't song slowly, but still it can't hide the fact that it's a sad song . nice pick :)

    not quite familiar with the band either, ill download the song coz i'm quite intrigued with your description. I love slow songs too, and its good to listen to sad songs from time to time. hehehe emotera din kasi ako :)

    like most girls here, this is the first time i've heard of this song. super sad, the story it conveys. i feel bad for the guy who can relate to this song :(
