Girls Talk - Food, Food....Glorious Food!


I must confess that I'm a picky eater.

And I eat. A lot. Of all the wrong kinds. This is actually why I have weight problems at the moment and I am trying to get fit and healthy. I've even dedicated a blog series, The Food Diarist, about it. But anyways, I am going off on a tangent again.....

I started talking about food because this week's topic for Girls Talk is just that. Food and all its glory.

My recent cravings would suggest that I am currently into food that comes from the land of pasta (pasta ba ikamo?) - Italy! After my European excursion last December, I am really deeply salivating for the perfect spaghetti carbonara, which I tasted in Rome. And now I can't find it here. Boo-hoo-hoo! I've even decided to try my hand at it a few times but with limited successes.

So far, the best recipe I found was from Panlasang Pinoy. They've even got a Youtube video up for it.


So I will share this video for now until I can perfect mine.

    kasi kahit carbonara.. Pinoy taste sis really on the sweet side.... love carbonara if Pilipinized.. not the the pure Italian flavor.. dehins ko feel yung dami different smell... heheh..

    Wow Carbonara! I love pasta so much as well next to pizza! :) I'm so jealous that you were able to have an European excursion! That must be heavenly! :) A pizza-pasta lover's dream come true ^^,

    My BF makes a mean plate of carbonara. But nothing like that from Rome, I would assume. Nothing beats authentic, I believe. :) Thanks for dropping by my blog.. Followed u too.. Happy GT!
